At initial launch of the Pangu Jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1 has been available for only Windows and has encountered reports of bugs from users. We have been imminent about the version to be released for Mac users and even more added features came along with this expected version of Pangu Jailbreak for Mac Users.
The developers have updated their tool to v.1.1 which added Mac version, fixed the bugs and an English version interface has been added.
As its windows version Mac version also works on iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1 compatible devices.
Here is a simple list of devices the version works for;
- iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4
- iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
- Retina iPad mini, iPad Mini
- iPod touch 5G

The team has announced some notes on the release of Pangu v1.1
1. Add English support.
2. Optimize the file size.
3. Fix the boot loop bug.
4. Using new info leak bug instead of @i0n1c’s

Some security researchers and the well-known independent security consultant specialized in Open source software Stefan Esser has discovered many exploits in Pangu Jailbreak’s windows version, now they are using a new vulnerability as they burned another exploit in for the new release.
Evad3er team’s hacker Musclenerd and iH8sn0w whom is the developer of p0sixpwn and Sn0wbreeze have confirmed that the Windows version is now clear of bugs and does not involve any malware or Spyware. Since this stage has been reached no further issues expected on the Mac version, if there are any updates we will inform you right away.
You can download the tool you need for the Mac version from this link and the guidance explaining how to jailbreak step by step by Pangu using mac has also been published and can be accessed to easily jailbreak your device.
If you don’t prefer to upgrade your device to the iOS 7.1 or 7.1.1 and using a version lower or iOS 7.0.6, or if you hold off jailbreaking since you are already on 7.1.2 you better revert your iOS to 7.1 or 7.1.1 version to use Pangu Jailbreak. If you would like to act prudently on this our recommendation would be using the jailbreak with only iOS 7.1 and 7.1.1, both iOS 7.1 and 7.1.1 has no distinctive changes but iOS 7.1.1 seems more stable compared to iOS 7.1 version.
