  • Jan 21, 2015

iOS 8.1.1 has been officially jailbroken recently and I must admit this jailbreaking process has been the most convenient and easiest to perform and complete in my experience. The TaiG team has released the jailbreak for Windows users. After testing the TaiG jailbreak tool for iOS 8.1.1, I can confirm it works perfectly well. The jailbreak allows Cydia download very straight forward and makes it easy to follow. In this article; I will be providing the step by step guidance on how to jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 by using TaiG.

Although the article will concentrate on iOS 8.1.1 the same directions can be followed for iOS 8.1.2, all you need to make sure is using the latest version of TaiG. Although our guidance will be focusing on an iPhone jailbreak process the same directions and conditions will be valid for iPad, iPod touch, simply all devices working on iOS 8, iOS 8.0.2, iOS 8.1 and iOS 8.1.1.

Step by Step Directions;

1. Initial step is to download TaiG from our Taig Download page and extract the contents to your desktop.

2. Please check you have iTunes installed before plugging your device into your computer and make sure the installed iTunes recognizes it.

3. At this stage you need to restore your iPhone to iOS 8.1.1

4. The application Find my iPhone needs to be turned off in Settings → Cloud

5. Go to Settings → Touch ID & Passcode to disable your passcode and make sure it is disabled.

6. In Control Center enable the AirPlane mode.

7. On the desktop contents find TaiGJBreak_1006.exe and right click to select Run as Administrator, by clicking Yes.

8. TaiG tool needs to recognize your iOS device, after ensuring it is recognized you need to uncheck the second box but keep Cydia checked and click the green jailbreak button.

9. You will see the jailbreak process started and wait until the tool states the jailbreak is complete which will appear with a smiley face.

10. This is the last stage and your iOS device will need to be rebooted, after rebooting you will see the Cydia app on your Home Screen.

Your jailbreak for iOS 8.1.1 has been completed, I hope you found our guidance helpful and easy to follow.
