How to Jailbreak iOS 8.1.2 Device on a Mac Operating System using PP Jailbreak

If you are interested in jailbreaking your device running on iOS 8.1.2 by using a Mac operating system this guidance might be very useful to you. Chinese jailbreakers have introduced us a tool called PP Jailbreak to use on Mac and we have prepared this guidance on how to perform the jailbreak step by step.

Before proceeding to the next step please read the following notes and check your system and device compatibility;

The iTunes installed on your device should be the latest version and make sure you have updated before you start jailbreaking. Remember to back up your iPhone to iCloud or iTunes before proceeding to jailbreak.

Steps to Jailbreak iOS 8.1.2 on a Mac


As first step to jailbreak process please download the latest version of PP Jailbreak for Mac from this link, and connect your device to your computer.


Go to Settings → Touch ID & Passcode to disable your passcode and make sure it is disabled.


The application Find my iPhone needs to be turned off in Settings  →  Cloud → Find my iPhone.


Launch the PP Jailbreak file by double clicking.


You need to confirm that the correct firmware version has been detected by the PP Jailbreak program running, deselect the check box at the bottom which installs Chinese pirated application store.


Please click on the button located in the centre.


Click the button on the right of the next page to proceed where it requests you to disable the passcode in your device and the Find my iPhone feature.


You will wait until the jailbreak is completed and reboot the device which will happen automatically, and you will see the Cydia on your Homescreen.
